October Site of the Month
October's site of the month is Ohio History Central, Ohio's online encyclopedia of history. This site has an attractive new look and many new features. In addition to an improved, full-text search engine, you can now browse the encyclopedia's 3,000 entries and 1,200 images by alphabetical index, subject categories, media types, locations within Ohio, time periods and special interest topics. When you visit Ohio History Central, be sure to check out the new Ohio Quick Facts, Ohio Across Time, and Useful Links sections. Ohio Quick Facts provides fast and easy access to hundreds of facts and hyperlinks related to historic and modern Ohio. Ohio Across Time is a concise timeline of Ohio's history with hyperlinks to many articles in the encyclopedia. Useful Links provides hundreds of links related to Ohio's history, government, research repositories, and local historical societies, as well as links to other state, regional and municipal encyclopedias. September Site of the Month
It's back-to-school time. This month OPLIN has two sites of the month. Ohio School Websites features links to over 550 public school districts and over 400 non-public schools that have websites. All of these sites are listed alphabetically, as well as by the county in which they are located. Ohio Colleges and Universities features links to all of the state's higher education institutions with websites.
August Site of the Month
August's site of the month is the State of Ohio Identity Protection website. The State of Ohio developed this site to inform Ohio's citizens, state employees, and others potentially affected by the recent theft of a state data storage device. It features recent updates about the data theft as well as information and advice about data protection.
July Site of the Month
July's site of the month is another new ExploreOhio feature, Ohio City Histories . This site contains more than 120 links to histories of cities across Ohio.
June Site of the Month
June's site of the month is another new ExploreOhio feature, Ohio Seniors. This site contains nearly 150 links to sites focused on topics of interest to Ohio's senior citizens.
May Site of the Month

As the weather is improving, Ohio's fair and festival season is getting into gear. You can learn about the many fairs and festivals in Ohio by visiting Ohio Fairs and Festivals. These pages feature links to the most accurate and up-to-date information about over one hundred fairs and festivals in Ohio.

May is also playoff time for spring high school sports. Find out when and where sectional, district, regional and state events will be held by visiting the Ohio High School Athletic Association's Spring Sports Tournament Schedule.
